The Packing List Generator builds a tailored checklist from three inputs, entirely in your browser; nothing is uploaded to a server.

1. Trip type — beach, business, hiking, winter, or city; each seeds a different set of essentials and activity-specific gear.
2. Duration — the number of days scales quantities for clothing, so a two-week trip suggests more shirts and underwear than a weekend.
3. Climate — hot, mild, or cold adds or removes weather-specific items such as sunscreen, layers, or a heavy coat.

Customizing Your List

• Tick items off as you pack; the progress bar and counter update live.
• Add your own items with the input above, assigned to any category.
• Remove items you do not need with the button.
• Use Copy or Print to take the list with you.

Automatic Saving

Your list, checked state, and trip settings are stored in your browser's localStorage. Close the tab and come back later; your progress is exactly where you left it. Clearing your browser data will remove the saved list.

Packing Tips

• Roll clothes instead of folding to save space and reduce creasing.
• Keep essentials, medication, and a change of clothes in your carry-on.
• Wear your bulkiest items (boots, coat) on travel day.
• Check the destination's weather forecast before finalizing your list.
• Leave a little room for souvenirs on the way home.
